The Rings: A Bridgerton-Inspired Wedding Stationery Story on the Central Coast

Venue // Paso Robles Inn

There is a certain ease that happens when an event is created with intention. The Rings felt like that from the start, a gathering shaped by collaboration, creativity, and care for the details.

Designed as both a styled shoot and a live awards event, the evening blended romance, artistry, and genuine celebration within the Central Coast wedding community. It was elegant without feeling formal, intentional without feeling staged, and filled with moments that quietly reminded me why I love creating paper goods that live inside meaningful experiences.

Set at the historic Paso Robles Inn, the space felt instantly transportive in the most natural way. Candelabras flickered against soft draping by Draping by Kim, florals spilled across the room as if they belonged there, and those details that Flowers by Kim brought to life felt thoughtfully layered. With Bridgerton returning to screens, the timing felt especially fitting, and the romance of the evening followed suit.

Letting the Paper Set the Tone

For this event, the stationery was designed to quietly lead the story.

One of the most meaningful design details was the use of the selected specialty linen itself. The fabric was scanned at a high resolution ahead of the event, allowing its texture and pattern to become part of the paper story. That scan was translated into envelope liners, used as the background for the large awards ceremony and bar signage, and carried through as the flat lay backdrop for the stationery. It became a quiet throughline, pulling the entire design aesthetic together in a way that felt cohesive and intentional. This approach has been especially present in current design trends, where materials are no longer just supporting elements, but part of the visual language itself.

The linen itself played a central role in the design, with a floral dusk poly print table linen in ivory layered alongside shantung ivory and shantung dusty rose accents, creating a soft, romantic foundation that carried from the tables to the paper details.

Not loudly. Not dramatically. Just confidently.

Hand-torn edges, soft blush tones, and antique-inspired typography gave the paper a sense of age and elegance, like something discovered rather than newly made. Crest motifs and monograms tied everything together, creating a visual thread that moved from invitations to menus to signage without ever feeling repetitive.

Tables Meant to Be Remembered

The tables invited guests to stay awhile. Gold flatware caught the candlelight, specialty linens softened the place settings, and florals moved naturally across the table rather than sitting stiffly at the center. Paper elements were woven in gently, never demanding attention but always adding warmth.

Menus were placed on top of dusty rose silk napkins and finished with wax seals, tying in with the curves and calligraphy used throughout the paper details. Table numbers and signage echoed the same curves and calligraphy, allowing the paper to feel like part of the tablescape rather than an add-on. These are the details guests may not consciously name, but they absolutely feel.

These are the tables people remember. Not because of one standout detail, but because everything felt considered.

A Thoughtful Collaboration

This event was especially meaningful because of the collaboration behind it.

Led by the thoughtful planning and design of HeyDayWeddings and brought to life through lush florals by FlowersbyKim, Rachell Rae Designs signage collaborations with Palette & Pine the event felt cohesive from the ground up. Every design decision worked in conversation with the next, creating a space that felt intentional rather than overstyled.

When paper, florals, linens, and lighting are all speaking the same language, the room feels settled. Calm. Complete. That was very much the case here.

That same mindset of repetition and restraint was echoed across the event, allowing individual design elements to reappear in subtle ways rather than competing for attention.

More Than a Styled Shoot

This year’s awards carried special meaning. The Heart of the Industry Award was renamed in honor of Bob Stock, an influential figure and founder of Central Coast Wedding Professionals, whose impact on the local wedding community continues to be deeply felt. The award recognizes leadership, generosity, and a commitment to uplifting others within the industry.

It was a celebration of talent, intention, and community. One of those nights where conversations lingered, laughter carried, and appreciation felt genuine. I had the privilege of serving on the board and planning committee throughout 2024 and into early 2025, which made seeing it all come together especially meaningful.

The 2025 recipient of the Bob Stock Heart of the Industry Award was Amanda Holder of Amanda Holder Events. Her leadership, kindness, and dedication have shaped countless events and relationships, and her work continues to extend far beyond the region. In addition to this recognition, Amanda now serves as the publisher of California Wedding Day, helping guide and grow the wedding industry throughout California. Watching her receive this honor was a moment of pride for so many of us who have been personally impacted by her work, heart and pride.

Amanda, thank you for all that you do to uplift and inspire those around you! Your thoughtfulness and dedication are truly the heartbeat of this industry.

A Night That Lingers

The Rings was a reminder that when thoughtful design and shared vision come together, the result feels effortless. Romantic. Alive.

With Bridgerton Season 4 returning this January and the awards ceremony returning this February, the evening felt like both a reflection on what has been built and a look toward what continues to grow.

I’m grateful to have contributed planning, stationery, and signage to an evening that celebrated not just beautiful design, but the people behind it. The Rings 2026 Awards return on February 22 at Villa Loriana, continuing to reflect the Central Coast wedding community at its best.
